The installation works in this portfolio were created and exhibited from 2007-2010. The concepts of these works were born from my experiences as an art student in the UK, especially between 1999 and 2000.
The process of creating my art works was significant to me. Picking up dead branches and putting them together to make a whole tree in "Reborn”, cutting the stretchable cloth to loosen it in "Internal World of the Body;" these actions reflected how I felt and where I stood at that time.
I feel a strong urge to create art works. Fortunately, when I was young, in particular, during the influential 5 years I spent in the UK, I had the chance to concentrate on making art. This was something I felt I strongly needed to do at the time, even though I didn't really understand why.
As I look back on what I have done, I hope to discover the reasons why I felt those strong needs. I believe this, in turn, will lead me towards my future creations. This portfolio is part of that process.
I'd like to thank all of you for taking the time to look at this website. I'd also like to express my appreciation to everyone who has supported me in my artistic endeavours.
