I am very interested in the relationship between organic and inorganic materials and the forms that naturally appear when the two are combined. The forms that result when the features of each material are exploited are full of new discovery and surprise for me. I get a great deal of enjoyment from the process of making such works.

For Reborn, I collected dead branches and wrapped them with dyed bandages. I continued to wrap more and more branches, using hooks to connect the branches together to form a whole tree. As I look at these assembled trees, I feel that they are a metaphor for the human body.
